Hi, to make a tote bag with this design, you need to order ONE YARD of 54 or 56" sturdy woven fabric (recommended fabrics are Linen Cotton Canvas, Cypress Cotton Canvas or Belgian Linen). NOTE: If you order a smaller quantity of fabric (Fat quater) or a more narrow fabric (Petal cotton) some parts of the bag will be missing. Spoonflower will then print the fabric and ship it to you. You will receive a printed panel looking like what you see on your screen at ordering time, with all the pieces necessary to sew the tote bag. You just need to cut out the pieces, no pattern needed. Written instructions with photos (no video at this time) of how to assemble the bag are available on my own website at https://fibracreativa.com/cut-and-sew-art-tote-bags/ Hope this helps.

Hi, I’m not clear which layou should be used to create the tote bag. Are the instructions for the layout included after payment? Please explain sequence & layout & if there are printed instructions for the creation of the bag. Thanks! Artmagic

Thank you so much for your purchasing my bag and mask designs. Regarding the fabric choice, I am surprised you noticed a difference between the different cotton fabrics. I usually order the masks in Organic Cotton sateen, and I have made the bags in Linen Cotton Canvas and Dogwood Denim. I find no significant difference between those fabrics, and the colors were beautiful. I also tested a bag in Recycled Canvas, the colors were more vibrant, because it is polyester, but I found it a bit tricky to sew because it's nearly impossible to press the seams. Also the bag is very soft. My favorite is the Dogwood Denim, because it makes a sturdy bag that holds up well without adding interfacing. A client said she loved the Belgian Linen for these bags.

First of all... I love love love this idea. The ONLY issue I have is the choice of fabrics. I bought this on canvas fabric, and the colors were shockingly dull. At the same time, I bought the van gogh mask panel that fibraCreativa has at the same time as the canvas. THOSE colors were fantastic! I chose the organic cotton sateen . The colors POPPED! I am re-ordering the bag panel in the organic cotton sateen as its colors will be more vibrant. I understand the fabric won't hold up as well. Its ok. I should have ordered a test swatch. Its not the designer's fault. I am really looking forward to making totebags out of the cotton sateen!!!
